Automation

Automation systems are another speciality for VC. Automation usually consist of Audio Distribution, Video Distribution, Lighting, Intercom, HVAC control, and Cameras.

AV Distribution: Audio and Video for the entire house can be centralized and controlled by one system. This allows for easier operation, less equipment, and more possibilities. With a distributed A/V system you can play multiple sources at once (ie cable in the kitchen, dvd in the bedroom), or you can play one source throughout the entire house.(football game on every tv).

Lighting: Whole house lighting systems are a miracle of modern electronics. They truly will change your lifestyle. Imagine coming home at night and turning on your house lights from your car down the street! Lighting a path from the garage all the way to the master bedroom. Or waking up at night, hit one button on your nightstand to light a pathway of dimmed light to your bathroom or kids room. We can setup a different scene for every occasion: entertainment, night, day, party, emergency. Our lighting system are totally wireless so they can be installed in existing houses with no special wiring. You just won’t believe that you lived with regular lighting for so long!

Intercom / Doorbell: Page any room in the house from any room with a keypad. The audio is broadcast through the speakers in the ceiling. Do not Disturb functions are available for the rooms that are just too busy to be bothered…. Doorbell systems with access control are available. Ring the doorbell, the automation system turns off all audio in the house, then plays a bell through every speaker in the house. The homeowner can then go to any keypad in the home and talk to the front door, see who is there from the camera, and open the door/gate electronically.

HVAC / Alarm control: VC’s home automation systems can communicate with your air conditioning equipment and existing alarm systems. Complete control of all HVAC equipment from humidity and outside temp is displayed on all keypads. Alarm functions can also be controlled from any keypad. If the alarm is triggered the Automation system can turn on a preset lighting scene for the house. (example, all inside lights to full bright, exterior lights blink on and off).

Cameras: Several camera options are available. Simple front door cameras that can view in total darkness, to IP cameras. IP cameras can be viewed and controlled from the internet. Example: View your house cameras from work and vacation. IP cameras can pan, tilt, and zoom.
